To set this story up... we built a new wall (the first one in this basement project) next to where the staircase is. It is replacing two other walls and supporting the beams across that part of the basement ceiling, so that we can tear out those walls. The new wall is bolted down into the concrete, which keeps it extra secure.
So... after we finish the new wall and we are tearing out the other walls.... Matt says to me "Look at at these old bolts". And I'm like "yeah, I see them, whats the big deal?". He says "Well, look at those other people's bolts compared to my bolts".
I just had to laugh. "Yes honey, your bolts are much bigger". Such a boy.
